Where are you located?

Our repair shop is at 157 Church Street, 19th Floor, New Haven, CT 06510. We're appointment-preferred — booking online or call/text ahead means we have your part ready when you arrive. Walk-ins are welcome when we have an open slot — call first to check availability before driving in. Online orders ship from our Manassas, VA fulfillment warehouse.

Do I need an appointment?

CCT Repairs is appointment-preferred. We book ahead so we can stage your specific part (OEM or aftermarket grade per your choice), reserve the right technician, and have you in and out in 30-60 minutes for most phone and tablet repairs. Walk-ins are welcome when we have an open slot — call or text first to check availability before driving in, since busy days can fill up quickly.

What types of devices do you repair?

Phones (iPhone & Android), laptops & desktops (Mac & PC), gaming consoles (PS5, PS4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck), tablets (iPad & Android), drones (DJI & others), smartwatches, and many other electronics. If you're not sure, ask — chances are we can fix it.

Can't make it to New Haven? Do you offer mail-in?

Yes — our mail-in repair service covers the whole U.S. Pack your device securely, ship it to our Manassas, VA warehouse, and we'll diagnose, quote, repair, and return it via insured carrier.

Costs, quotes, and what's covered.

How much does a repair cost?

Repair pricing depends on the device, the part, and the part grade you choose. Two things up front:
• The diagnostic consultation is free (phone, text, or via the Get a Quote form) — we give you an exact price before any work begins.
• A hands-on diagnostic fee ($34.99 phones, $44.99 computers, $54.99 drones / consoles) only applies if a physical inspection is needed to quote. It's applied toward your repair total when you approve the work.

Typical ranges:
• Phone screen replacements run from the under-$100 range for older models up to $200-$300+ for current flagships with OEM parts
• Battery replacements typically run $50-$130 depending on device and grade
• MacBook screen replacements run $200-$500+ depending on model and Retina type
• Computer SSD upgrades + OS reinstall typically run $120-$220 including labor

Is the diagnostic consultation free?

Yes — diagnostic consultations are free on most devices. We'll examine your device and explain what's wrong and what it costs to fix. You owe nothing if you decide not to proceed (in-shop). Mail-in: a small return-shipping fee applies if you decline.

Do repairs come with a warranty?

Yes — every repair carries a 90-day limited warranty covering parts and labor on the specific repair performed. If the same component fails within 90 days under normal use, we replace it at no charge.

What the warranty covers:
• The exact component we replaced (screen, battery, charging port) failing under normal use
• Workmanship issues from the repair itself
• Defective parts (premature failure, dead pixels, battery cell failure)

What the warranty does not cover:
• New physical damage after the repair (drops, cracks, dents)
• Liquid intrusion that happens post-repair
• Issues with a different component than the one we worked on
• Damage from third-party parts or modifications

Replacement parts from our online shop carry the same 90-day defect warranty. To invoke it, bring the device or part back with your original receipt or pickup ticket.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and most major payment methods through Square. Payment is due when you pick up your device (or when mail-in repair is complete).

Do you offer a device repair membership?

Yes — CCT Care is a monthly membership for devices you buy from CCT. While it is active, any repair to that device is billed at our cost for parts (wholesale + 2% + shipping) plus a flat $80 labor rate — no retail markup. Monthly fees run roughly $14–$34 depending on the device, and the exact price is shown at checkout. It is added when you buy an eligible device; you can cancel anytime. CCT Care is a pricing membership, not insurance — it does not "cover" repairs, it makes them cost less.

Repair Process

Turnaround, data, parts, and what to expect.

How long does a repair take?

Turnaround depends on the device and the part:
iPhone / Android phone repairs: 30-60 minutes while you wait when the part is in stock. Common screen, battery, charging-port, and back-glass jobs are same-day if booked ahead.
iPad / tablet repairs: 60-90 minutes for most jobs (screen, battery, charging port).
MacBook + PC laptop repairs: 1-3 business days for screen / battery / keyboard / SSD / RAM. We text status updates throughout.
Gaming console repairs: 2-5 business days (PS5/PS4 HDMI port, Xbox controllers, Switch Joy-Con drift).
Drone repairs + component-level board work: 5-7 business days. We disclose success likelihood and quote up front.
Water damage diagnosis: 24-48 hours for the assessment + quote.

Every quote includes an estimated turnaround, and we text you when the device is ready for pickup.

Will I lose my data during the repair?

Most repairs do not affect your data — screen, battery, charging port, camera, etc. If a repair carries any data-loss risk (rare), we tell you upfront so you can back up first. We can also perform a backup as part of the service.

Do you use original parts?

Yes — and you choose the grade. For most repairs we offer multiple part grades so you pick what fits your budget and use case:
Service Genuine OEM (Apple SSR / Samsung Service): The factory part. Identical to what Apple or Samsung uses in their own repairs. Preserves Face ID, True Tone, battery health pairing.
Refurbished OEM: Original Apple/Samsung panel re-laminated to new glass. Strong middle option — same screen feel, lower price.
Aftermarket Hard OLED / Incell: Third-party panels manufactured to spec. Best price; minor variations on advanced features (occasional "Service" notification on iPhone 11+).

We always disclose the part grade and any feature implications (Face ID compatibility, True Tone) before any work begins. For batteries, charging ports, cameras, and other components we follow the same three-grade pattern where the supplier offers it.

Can you fix water-damaged devices?

Yes. We assess every water-damaged device with an open-and-clean diagnosis — opening the device, removing residue, ultrasonically cleaning the logic board, and inspecting for component damage. We share a transparent quote before any repair work begins.

Important: while the device is wet or recently submerged —
Do NOT charge it. Power running through corroded contacts is what kills most water-damaged phones.
Do NOT turn it on. Same reason — short circuits in saturated components.
Do NOT put it in rice. Rice doesn't draw water from sealed components and just slows the dry-out.
Power off if still on, then bring it in immediately.

The sooner we get the device, the better the recovery rate. Within 24-48 hours of contact, most water-damaged iPhones recover fully. After a few days of sitting wet, corrosion sets in and we may need board-level component replacement or data recovery only.

We service water damage on iPhones, Samsung Galaxy, Pixel, MacBooks, iPads, and gaming consoles.

What if my device cannot be repaired?

If we determine your device can't be repaired or the cost exceeds replacement value, we tell you honestly so you can decide. There's no charge for the diagnostic consultation in that case (in-shop). For used-device replacements, ask about our refurbished inventory.

Will repairing my iPhone affect Face ID or True Tone?

We use parts and procedures designed to preserve Face ID and True Tone where possible. On newer iPhones with stricter component pairing, some features may show an "unknown part" message in Settings — this is Apple software, not a defect. Battery health, charging, and longevity are unaffected.

Mail-in & Online Orders

Shipping, returns, and how mail-in works.

How does mail-in repair work?

Fill out the mail-in form, ship the device to our Manassas, VA warehouse, and we'll diagnose and quote within 1–2 business days of receipt. Once you approve the quote, we repair and ship it back via insured carrier with tracking.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — we ship parts and accessories to the U.S., Canada, and New Zealand. Transit times: U.S. 1–5 days, Canada 7–14 days, New Zealand 10–21 days. International shipping is via USPS or UPS depending on destination.

What is your return policy?

See our full return & warranty policy. Defective items can be returned for a refund or replacement. Non-defective returns are accepted within 30 days but the customer pays return shipping.

How do I track my order or repair?

Online orders: tracking number sent by email when shipped. Repairs: log into My Repairs with the email you booked under to see live status updates.
