Do you fix Xbox controller drift?

Yes — Xbox Series S/X controller joystick drift is one of the most common repairs at CCT Repairs. We replace the analog stick module and test thoroughly. Most controllers are returned within 1–2 business days of receipt. Mail-in service to our Manassas, VA warehouse is available nationwide.

Can you repair a PS5 with no video output?

Yes. PS5 HDMI-port repair is a common fix. The HDMI port is a separate module that we replace; the rest of the console keeps working. Most HDMI repairs are completed within 1–2 business days at our New Haven, CT shop.

Common questions

Before you bring it in.

How long does an HDMI port repair take?

Typically 3–5 business days. HDMI port replacement requires desoldering the original port from the motherboard and installing a replacement — a microsoldering operation we do in-shop on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.

Can you fix joystick drift on DualSense / Xbox controllers?

Yes — we repair joystick drift on DualSense, DualShock 4, Xbox One/Series controllers, and Switch Joy-Cons. Drift fixes are usually same-day or next-day. We also offer Hall-effect joystick upgrades on most controller types.

Do you replace Nintendo Switch screens?

Yes — original Switch and Switch OLED. The OLED is more involved (different removal procedure, frame adhesive) but we have the parts and have done many.

Will my data / saves be preserved?

Almost always. Repairs that involve replacing the storage drive (rare — usually a software-recoverable issue) are the only case where data may not survive. We'll tell you upfront if that risk applies to your repair.

Do you work on modded consoles?

We handle hardware repair on modded consoles (HDMI, fan, power), but we don't troubleshoot mod-specific software issues. If your jailbreak is causing the problem, we may not be able to help — be honest on the form so we can give an accurate quote.

Can you upgrade my Steam Deck or PS5 SSD?

Yes — Steam Deck SSD and PS5 internal SSD upgrades are popular services. Bring your console and the new drive (or we can source a recommended one as part of the quote).

Do you fix the PS5 overheating / shutdown issue?

Yes — most PS5 overheating issues are dust buildup in the heatsink and degraded thermal paste/liquid metal. Our PS5 cooling refresh service handles both, and many people see a 10–15°C temp drop afterward.

Do you offer mail-in for consoles?

Yes — use our mail-in repair page. Pack the console with plenty of padding (no styrofoam pellets near vents) and ship via insured carrier.
