Packing tips

  • Use a padded box or wrap the device in bubble wrap
  • Remove SIM cards and memory cards before shipping
  • Include the charger if sending a laptop or tablet
  • Back up your data — we are not responsible for data loss
  • Use a carrier with tracking (USPS Priority, UPS Ground, FedEx)
  • Drop the tracking number in the form so we can watch for it
Common questions

Before you ship.

How long is the full turnaround?

3–7 business days from when we receive the device. Diagnosis & quote within 24 hours of arrival; repair within 1–3 days once you approve; return shipping 2–3 days.

Do you cover inbound shipping?

No — you pay to ship your device to us. We pay for nothing inbound. Return shipping is added to your invoice once the repair is approved.

What if I don't approve the quote?

You only pay the diagnostic fee + return shipping. We pack and ship the device back, unrepaired, with tracking.

What if my device can't be repaired?

If we can't repair it (cost-prohibitive, unavailable parts, etc.), we'll tell you upfront and only charge the diagnostic fee + return shipping.

How does the warranty work for mail-in?

Same 90-day warranty as in-shop repairs. If anything fails within 90 days you can ship it back — we cover return shipping on warranty claims.

Do you do international mail-in?

US only for now. International customers should contact us directly for special arrangements — call (203) 442-6070 or use the contact form.

What about data loss?

Back up your device BEFORE shipping. We can't be responsible for data loss during repair. If you can't back up because the device is broken, mention it on the form — we'll discuss options.

Devices left unclaimed?

Devices not paid for within 60 days of the quote may be recycled. We'll send multiple reminders before that happens.
