TL;DR — All parts go through functional testing before they ship. Every part is backed by a 90-day manufacturer warranty — defective items ship back free; non-defective returns are customer-paid. Tier and grade are always called out in the product title and description so there's no ambiguity.

Genuine Apple (GAPP)

Genuine Apple Parts

Sourced directly from Apple's Independent Repair Provider supply chain. Identical to what an Apple Store uses for in-warranty repairs — same firmware behavior, same Face ID / True Tone calibration support.

Best for: Insurance claims, B2B repair shops needing certified parts, customers who want zero compromise.

Genuine / Service Pack

Genuine OEM (Service Pack)

Manufacturer-direct service-grade parts for Samsung, Google, Microsoft, Motorola, OnePlus, Huawei, and LG devices. Supplied to authorized repair providers in OEM packaging with full functional certification.

Best for: Matching original display behavior, retaining proper biometrics & charging speeds, premium repairs.

OEM Grade A

OEM Grade A (New)

Brand-new, never-installed parts manufactured to OEM specification. Functionally identical to factory parts but supplied in bulk packaging rather than retail Apple/Samsung boxes.

Best for: The sweet spot of quality & price — what we ship by default for most repair-shop orders.

Used OEM Pull

Used OEM Pull (Grade A / B)

Authentic OEM parts harvested from working OEM devices. 100% functionally tested before shipping. Cosmetic grade is called out in the title (Grade A = excellent, Grade B = light wear — usually invisible once installed).

Best for: Authentic part at significant savings vs. new OEM — great for older devices where genuine matters more than pristine.

Refurbished

OEM-core parts that have been reconditioned, recelled, or had a damaged subcomponent replaced. Predominantly OEM in composition with one or more sub-assemblies restored to functional spec.

Best for: Matching original characteristics on tighter budgets — common for older-model batteries and screen assemblies.

Aftermarket

Aftermarket (Compatible)

Replacement parts produced by third-party manufacturers. We only stock aftermarket parts that pass our incoming-QC bench — cheap-and-cheerful is fine, broken-on-arrival is not.

Best for: High-volume DIY repairs, budget jobs, or parts where OEM is unavailable or wildly overpriced for the model age.

Cosmetic grading

For pulls and pre-owned devices.

When a part is described as a Pull or pre-owned device, the grade refers strictly to its cosmetic condition. Functional QC is identical across all grades — we don't ship anything that doesn't pass our test bench.

Grade	What it means	Typical look once installed
New	Never installed, no visible wear, sealed where applicable.	Indistinguishable from a brand-new factory part.
Grade A	Excellent cosmetic condition. May have very faint wear on non-visible surfaces.	Looks new once assembled into the device.
Grade B	Light wear or minor cosmetic blemishes — typically on areas hidden by chassis or bezel.	Usually invisible to the end user once installed.
Grade C / D	Visible cosmetic wear. Functionally perfect, but customer will see signs of use. Reserved for budget-priority orders.	Wear is visible; pricing reflects this.

Battery quality

Chemistry matters more than cosmetics.

Batteries are graded a little differently because what's inside the cell determines how long it lasts.

Original-manufacturer battery, brand-new. Best capacity match and longest cycle life. Carries OEM serial number where applicable.

Best for: Warranty-conscious repairs, premium customer expectations.

Standard

High-Quality Aftermarket

Aftermarket batteries that match OEM mAh capacity and pass our incoming load & cycle tests. Solid daily-driver replacement at a more affordable price point.

Best for: Daily-driver replacements, older models, cost-sensitive repairs.

Extended-Capacity

Extended-Capacity Aftermarket

Higher-than-OEM mAh capacity for select models — designed for users who run their phone hard and want longer time between charges. Tested to OEM safety standards.

Best for: Heavy users, road warriors, anyone who hates the 4pm battery anxiety.

90-Day Manufacturer Warranty

Every part we sell — regardless of tier — carries a 90-day manufacturer warranty. If a part fails functionally within 90 days of delivery, we'll replace it free or refund your purchase price — and we cover return shipping for defective items. Customer pays return shipping on non-defective returns (changed your mind, wrong part ordered, etc.).

Three things void the warranty:

Brand-new cracks — the part arrived cracked, or cracked during handling/install.
Cosmetic damage — scrapes, scratches, or bruising on the part.
Water damage — any moisture or liquid exposure to the part.

Common questions

Quick answers.

Why don't you sell only OEM?

Because not every repair calls for it. A 5-year-old phone getting a budget screen swap doesn't need the same part as a current-flagship insurance claim. Carrying every tier lets us match the right part to the customer's actual need — rather than upselling a $190 OEM display for a phone with a $150 trade-in value.

Can I tell from the title which tier I'm buying?

Yes. We tag every product title with the grade in parentheses: (OEM Grade A), (Used OEM Pull: Grade A), (Refurbished), (Aftermarket), (Service Pack), etc. If you don't see a tag, it's a brand-new compatible part — the bottom tier — clearly priced as such.

Is "Aftermarket" the same as "Compatible"?

Yes — we use them interchangeably. Both mean a third-party-manufactured replacement that fits the original device but isn't certified by the OEM.

Do you install the parts I buy?

We can. Our New Haven, CT shop offers professional installation by appointment — book online and bring your device + the part on the day of your appointment. By appointment only (we need lab time per device).
