How to Replace a Samsung Galaxy S24 Screen

How to Replace a Samsung Galaxy S24 Screen
Difficulty: Moderate Time: 30–60 min Our repairs: 90-day warranty

A cracked Galaxy S24 display is a common, fixable problem. Samsung’s curved OLED panels need patience and even heat to remove cleanly. This guide covers opening the phone, disconnecting the battery, swapping the screen assembly, and testing touch and brightness before you seal it up.

Before you start:

What you'll need

Choosing your part: For the best fit, brightness and True Tone, choose a Genuine OEM or highest-grade screen — cheap aftermarket panels can mean dimmer color and touch issues.

Step-by-step

  1. 1 Power down & prepTurn the device fully off and, if you can, drain the battery below ~25% — a charged lithium cell is more dangerous if nicked. Work on a clean, static-free surface.
  2. 2 Soften the adhesiveApply gentle, even heat around the edges for ~30 seconds to loosen the adhesive. Avoid overheating near the camera or battery.
  3. 3 Open the displayLift a small gap with a suction cup at the correct edge, then slide a pick around the perimeter. Open it like a book from the hinge side so you don't tear the cables.
  4. 4 Disconnect the battery FIRSTRemove the bracket and unplug the battery before anything else, then disconnect the display/digitizer flex connectors.
  5. 5 Transfer paired partsMove over the earpiece, sensor flex, and Face ID / home-button assembly if the new screen doesn't include them. Reuse the ORIGINAL biometric parts.
  6. 6 Fit the new screenSeat the replacement and reconnect the flex connectors in reverse order, then the battery and bracket. Make sure each clicks home.
  7. 7 Test before sealingPower on and test the full display, touch, brightness, camera, earpiece and Face ID / Touch ID before you glue anything shut.
  8. 8 Seal & finishApply fresh adhesive, press the display closed evenly, and reinstall the screws. True Tone may need a programming step on some models.
