Description

This 2-prong AC power cable features an IEC 60320 C7 “figure-8” connector on one end and a CEE 7/16 Europlug on the other, designed as a direct replacement for the factory cord included with select PlayStation and Xbox consoles sold in Europe. Thanks to the internal power supplies used in these consoles, no external power brick is required — this single cable connects the console directly to the wall.

Key Features

IEC 60320 C7 (Figure-8) to CEE 7/16 Europlug configuration
18 AWG copper conductors, rated 2.5A / 250V
Molded strain-relief connectors for long-term durability
Direct replacement for frayed, damaged, or lost original cords
Plug-and-play — no setup required

Compatibility
Works with any console or device using a C8 power inlet, including:

PlayStation 5 (original / Disc & Digital Editions)
PlayStation 5 Slim
PlayStation 4 Slim
PlayStation 3 Slim / Super Slim
PlayStation 2 Slim
Original Xbox One (2013 launch model)
Most laptop power bricks, small audio equipment, and flat-screen TVs with 2-pin inlets

Regional Compatibility
The CEE 7/16 Europlug fits unearthed sockets across most of continental Europe, including:

Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Greece, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, and most other EU countries
Also fits Schuko (CEE 7/4) sockets — the Europlug slides into the round recessed socket without engaging the side ground clips

Understanding C-Series Power Cables
The IEC 60320 standard defines many “C-type” appliance couplers. Choosing the wrong one can mean the cord physically won’t fit — or worse, fits but isn’t rated for the device. Here’s how C7 compares to the most common types:

C7 (this cable / “Figure-8”) — 2-wire, ungrounded, rated up to 2.5A / 250V. Distinctive figure-eight / peanut shape. Mates with a C8 inlet. Used on PS5, PS4 Slim, PS3 Slim, PS2 Slim, original Xbox One, laptops, and small audio gear.
C13 — 3-wire, grounded, rated up to 10A / 250V. The most common IT/computer power cord (“kettle lead”). Used on desktop PCs, monitors, and printers.
C17 — 2-wire, ungrounded, rated up to 10A / 250V. Identical in shape to a C13 but without the ground pin. Used on Xbox 360 S/E, Xbox One S/X, and PS4 Pro (CUH-7015 / 7115).
C5 (Mickey Mouse / Cloverleaf) — 3-wire, grounded, rated up to 2.5A / 250V. Three-lobed shape. Common on laptop power bricks and projectors.
C15 — 3-wire, grounded, high-temperature (120°C) rated. Looks like a C13 with a notch. Used on electric kettles and some server equipment.
C19 — 3-wire, grounded, rated up to 16A / 250V. Larger, rectangular. Used on high-power servers, PDUs, and enterprise networking gear.

Key distinction for console owners:

PS5 / PS5 Slim / PS4 Slim / PS3 Slim / PS2 Slim use C7 figure-8 cords.
PS4 Pro CUH-7015 / CUH-7115 uses C17 instead, but the PS4 Pro CUH-7200 series switched to C7 figure-8 — check your model number on the bottom of the console before ordering.
Original Xbox One (2013) uses C7 figure-8, but Xbox One S / Xbox One X switched to C17.

If your console has a figure-8 / peanut-shaped socket (two rounded lobes), this is the correct cable. If it has two square holes side-by-side, you need a C17 cord instead.
