Buying guide How to pick the right camera

Front camera vs rear camera: Replace the right one — front cameras include the Face ID flex on iPhone X and newer, so swapping a rear camera will not affect Face ID functionality. Rear camera modules on iPhone Pro models combine wide + ultra-wide + telephoto in one assembly; you typically can't replace just one lens.

OEM vs aftermarket camera quality: Aftermarket camera modules (~30–40% cheaper) work but may have softer focus, slightly different color reproduction, or worse low-light performance. For a phone you plan to keep 1+ years, OEM is worth the difference.

"Camera glass" vs "camera module" listings: The outer protective lens (glass) is a separate part from the actual camera sensor — many "blurry camera" complaints are just scratched glass, not a failed module. Swap the glass first ($15–$30 part) before assuming the module needs replacement ($40–$200).

Match the exact model — front and rear cameras and multi-lens systems are model-specific. On newer iPhones some camera features (and certain sensors) are paired to the original part, so check the listing for pairing notes. Camera flexes are delicate; if you're not comfortable, book a repair. Not sure which part fits, or want it installed? Our New Haven, CT shop can identify the exact part and handle the repair — book a repair and we'll take care of it.

Frequently asked questions

My photos are blurry or the camera is black — is it the module?
Often yes, especially if cleaning the lens and restarting don't help. A failed or dislodged camera module causes blur, black screens, and stuck focus, and replacing it restores it.
Front camera vs rear camera — how do I choose?
The listing states which camera it is and which model it fits. Front (selfie) and rear (main/ultra-wide/tele) modules are separate parts.
Will all camera features still work after a swap?
Most do. On some newer phones certain features are paired to the original camera; those cases are noted on the product, and our shop can pair replacements.
Warranty?
Yes — 90-day warranty and same-day shipping from Manassas, VA.
