Front camera vs rear camera: Replace the right one — front cameras include the Face ID flex on iPhone X and newer, so swapping a rear camera will not affect Face ID functionality. Rear camera modules on iPhone Pro models combine wide + ultra-wide + telephoto in one assembly; you typically can't replace just one lens.

OEM vs aftermarket camera quality: Aftermarket camera modules (~30–40% cheaper) work but may have softer focus, slightly different color reproduction, or worse low-light performance. For a phone you plan to keep 1+ years, OEM is worth the difference.

"Camera glass" vs "camera module" listings: The outer protective lens (glass) is a separate part from the actual camera sensor — many "blurry camera" complaints are just scratched glass, not a failed module.
